kWh measurement device - DIN rail consumption meters
kWh measurement device for monitoring and registration
KWh meters measure the actual electrical energy consumption of an electrical installation. There are kWh meters for direct connection and meters that are connected by means of current transformers. With this measurement values up to 6000A can be measured.
Measured value converter
As a measured value converter, the effective pulses on a control system can be switched via pulse outputs with, for example, GLT, SPS, SCADA or with ProData® data logger, including GridVis® network visualization software.
Communication protocols
The M-Bus and Modbus protocols are available via the integrated communication interface. These interfaces can visualize additional values in addition to active and reactive energy, such as voltage, current, power and power factor / cos phi. The kWh meters can be used for collecting consumption data, in combination with the Janitza measuring devices UMG 96RM-E, UMG 604, UMG 605, UMG 508, UMG 509, UMG 511 and UMG 512 via Modbus RTU for partial measurements. Read more about this measuring equipment.
The measurement is designed for 1 phase and 3 phase systems with a voltage of L-N 230 VAC ± 20%. The current inputs are designed for either direct connection (Janitza B21 / B23) or measurement via a current transformer (Janitza B24). Active and reactive energy are available in one tariff or two rates and in four quadrants. The accuracy of the meter is class 1 for active energy and class 2 for reactive energy. All meters store the meter readings as permanent memory.
