Eddicy C800 contactors chosen for a new series of electric trucks
The electrification of heavy transport places high demands on the components used in high-voltage circuits. For a new generation of electric trucks, the C800 contactors from Eddicy, a Schaltbau sub-brand for electrification and e-mobility, have been selected.
Reliable switching up to 1,000 V DC
These contactors are designed for the safe switching of direct voltages up to 1,000 V DC and continuous currents of 500 A. The compact design combines a high breaking capacity of up to 6,000 A at 20 ms, without contact welding, with a long service life. This makes the C800 suitable for use in, among other things, the BDU (Battery Disconnect Unit) of an electric truck.
