Smart Dot 50 Daylight: always visible, even in bright daylight

Smart Dot 50 Basic Beacon 50 Daylight - Auer Signal | fortopIn many industrial applications, signalling depends on good visibility. In production environments with high ambient light or in outdoor installations, this can be a challenge. Signal lights lose contrast, colours fade and signals become less clearly visible.

Developed for visibility in daylight

With the Smart Dot 50 Basic Beacon Daylight, Auer Signal introduces a signal light specifically developed for these conditions. Unlike standard versions with an opal lens, this variant features a clear lens with an internal rib structure. This reduces reflections and ensures the light pattern and colours remain clearly visible, even in direct sunlight.

Ten variants, one platform

Within the Daylight range, a total of ten variants are available, divided into single-colour, bi-colour and tri-colour versions. The Daylight variant belongs to the Basic line and is intended for fixed signalling with one, two or three colours and various operating modes, such as steady light, flashing, pulsing or colour change. Depending on the version, ECO variants of these modes are also available.

Easy integration and replacement

Like the other versions within the Smart Signaling 50 series, the Smart Dot 50 Daylight features a standardised M22 panel mounting and a 5-pin M12 connection. This makes integration into existing installations straightforward. For applications with a 30 mm mounting hole, an adapter is available. The idea behind the Smart Signaling 50 series therefore remains completely clear:

Smart Signaling 50: signaling has never been this easy!

Part of the Smart Signaling 50 series

Auer Signal Smart Signaling 50 series | fortopThe Smart Dot 50 Daylight is part of the Smart Signaling 50 series from Auer Signal. This series has been developed as a modular platform for industrial signalling, where different versions and functional lines can be combined within one uniform base.

Three functional lines

Within the series, three functional lines are available. The Basic line is intended for fixed signalling with one, two or three colours and predefined signal modes. The Standard line expands this with additional functionality, such as more colour options and extended internal monitoring. With the IO-Link line, settings, status and diagnostic information are available via the control system, enabling central adjustment and continuous monitoring.

From compact signal light to full signal tower

In addition to the Smart Dot, the series also includes the Smart Indicator and, during 2026, the Smart Tower, enabling both compact signalling and multi-level or more advanced signalling applications.

Various variants are also available, such as the Smart Dot 50 Touch with capacitive operation, combining signalling and control, and versions with a stainless steel housing for demanding environments, such as the food and beverage industry, where both appearance and hygiene are important. In addition to stainless steel, versions in black and white are also available, suited to different machine and design environments.

Easy expansion and replacement

The Smart Signaling 50 series is designed for continuous industrial use and features a uniform base for the different versions within the series. All lights operate on a 18–30 V DC supply, have an LED lifetime of up to 60,000 hours and function at temperatures from –40 °C to +70 °C. The series complies with UL Type 4 / 4X, ensuring reliable operation in demanding industrial environments.

Thanks to this uniform design, the lights within the series can be easily applied, replaced or expanded. The different versions fit seamlessly together, allowing easy scaling or switching within the series. That is why we continue to say:

Smart Signaling 50: Simplicity beats complexity!
