New: Smart Signaling 50 now also available with stainless steel housing

Smart Dot TouchThe Smart Signaling 50 series from Auer Signal is now available with signalling lamps featuring a stainless steel housing. These versions are designed for industrial environments where hygiene and intensive cleaning are essential, such as the Food & Beverage industry. The housing also integrates seamlessly with stainless steel-built machines, ensuring the high-quality and uniform appearance of the machine is fully preserved.

Different versions

The stainless steel versions are currently available for the Smart Dot 50, Smart Dot Touch 50 and Smart Indicator 50 (the Smart Tower 50 will follow during 2026). The housings meet protection classes IP66, IP67, IP69 and IP69K, making them suitable for demanding industrial environments.

Smart Dot Touch 50: operable with gloves

In industries such as Food & Beverage, operators often need to work while wearing gloves. The Smart Dot Touch 50 addresses this with a capacitive touch button that remains reliably operable even with gloves. This allows signalling and basic operation to be combined in a single component, enabling both machine status indication and simple control.

Fast replacement and easy installation

Like the other models in the series, the lamps are designed for installation in a standard M22 mounting hole (22 mm). Existing signalling lamps or push buttons can therefore often be replaced directly without modifying the panel. For installations with a 30 mm mounting hole, an adapter is available. Electrical connection is made via a 5-pole M12 connector for fast and consistent installation, clearly reflecting the philosophy behind the Smart Signaling 50 series:

Smart Signaling 50: signaling has never been this easy!

Smart Signaling 50: one platform, multiple functions

Auer Signal Smart Signaling 50 product family | fortopThe Smart Signaling 50 series is built around a single mechanical platform. This allows the same signalling lamps to be used with different levels of functionality.

Three function lines

Three function lines are available within the series.

Basic: designed for fixed signalling with one, two or three colours and different operating modes such as steady light, flashing or colour change. The lamp monitors its own operation and visually indicates internal faults.

Standard: expands this with additional functionality, including seven colours and additional internal monitoring such as temperature control, fault detection and controlled start-up behaviour.

IO-Link: provides settings, status and diagnostic information via the control system. This allows parameters to be adjusted centrally while the status of the signalling lamp remains continuously visible.

Different versions within the series

The stainless steel versions are part of the broader Smart Signaling 50 series from Auer Signal. The Smart Dot 50 is a compact signalling lamp with a light intensity of up to 20 cd. This compact lamp therefore delivers up to four times more light than comparable compact signalling lamps. The Smart Dot Touch 50 combines signalling with a capacitive touch button for simple signalling and operation. The Smart Indicator 50 combines the compactness of a signalling lamp with the visibility of a signal tower and delivers a light intensity of up to 12 cd. Later this year the series will be expanded with the Smart Tower 50, a multicolour signal tower within the same platform. Within this series the lamps are also available with a black or white housing.

Technical foundation of the series

The Smart Signaling 50 series is designed for continuous industrial use. All lamps operate on a supply voltage of 18–30 V DC, have a LED lifetime of up to 60,000 hours and function at temperatures from –40 °C to +70 °C. The housings are also IK08 impact resistant and compliant with UL Type 4 / 4X.

With the same technical foundation, the same M22 mounting size and the same M12 connection across the entire series, the philosophy of the Smart Signaling 50 series becomes immediately clear:
