ESCHA Valve Connectors for the Railway Sector
In January 2024, ESCHA announced the expansion of its 'rail approved' product portfolio with a series of overmolded valve connectors specifically designed for the railway sector. This series of valve connectors meets, for the first on the market, the highest requirements of various DIN product standards.
The valve connectors are available in different versions including an axial version. All versions are available with LED and protection circuits to meet the highest standards and requirements. For optimal mechanical protection, all versions are equipped with a threaded cable outlet, allowing for the mounting of a protective hose if required.

Special Requirements
Due to the intensive use and harsh conditions in which the valve connectors must operate, it is crucial that they meet the highest (safety) standards and requirements. This new series meets the requirements of product standard DIN EN 175301-803 as well as the specific requirements of DIN EN 50155 and DIN EN 45545-2 (HL 1-3).
Naturally, the valve connectors are suitable for outdoor use and resistant to extreme external influences. For example, they are IP65 and IP67 rated and can withstand temperatures from -40 °C to +90 °C. They are also flame retardant, halogen-free, and resistant to oil, fuel, acids, and alkalis.
For additional protection, all connectors are equipped with a thread at the cable outlet. This thread allows for the mounting of a protective hose if required. Optionally, they are also available with a shielded cable.
