Condensator Dominit: for perfect voltage quality
Condensator Dominit GmbH is a leading provider of solutions for improving voltage quality. The systems are developed and manufactured in a brand-new factory in Brilon (Sauerland), where quality and reliability are the main priorities.
Thanks to the modular design of the different systems, Condensator Dominit products can be ideally integrated into the modular and hybrid filter concept of fortop. This makes it possible to combine different filter technologies within one filter system, allowing the wide variety of voltage quality issues to be resolved within a single system and under one responsibility.
Complete customer support
With the products and expertise of Condensator Dominit, the "Power Quality toolbox" of fortop is complete, enabling us to fully support customers. Through the continuous exchange of knowledge and experience, the German company is part of the fortop Power Quality network.
The Condensator Dominit product range includes:
- OSKαR®: voltage stabilisation system for applications such as mitigating voltage dips
- SIMΩN: universally applicable broadband filter for harmonics and reactive power
- SΦFIA®: active harmonic filter with automatic impedance control
OSKαR® – Voltage stabilisation system
The OSKαR® voltage stabilisation system from Condensator Dominit is an effective solution for mitigating voltage dips in particular. The system is often smaller, more energy-efficient and especially more cost-effective than a UPS system. Single- and two-phase voltage dips (which occur most frequently) can be addressed in a cost-effective way.
Features of OSKαR® voltage stabilisation:
- Hardly any influence on the short-circuit power within the electrical installation
- More cost-effective than most conventional solutions for mitigating voltage dips
- Lower maintenance costs, higher efficiency and a smaller footprint than UPS systems
- Modular and expandable, available in modules of 300 kVA, 600 kVA, 1200 kVA, etc.

SIMΩN - Modular rectifier based on silicon carbide (SiC)
SIMΩN® is an innovative solution from Condensator Dominit for improving voltage quality. The core of this active, modular rectifier is based on modern and efficient silicon carbide semiconductor technology (SiC).
Broadband damping of harmonics and resonances
SIMΩN® is particularly used when filtering over a wide frequency range is required. The active rectifier of SIMΩN® simulates the behaviour of an ohmic resistance for all possible frequencies except the fundamental frequency (50 Hz). Through this patented control method, damping is introduced on all individual frequency components in the power system, allowing resonances to be eliminated and unwanted (supra)harmonics to be suppressed over a wide frequency spectrum.
Energy recycling instead of power losses
Unlike a conventional resistor, SIMΩN® does not convert the absorbed active power into losses (heat). Instead, it extracts energy from the harmonics and feeds it back into the grid as fundamental active power. This patented filtering method therefore results in local “energy recycling”.
Advantages of SIMΩN:
- Damping of harmonics, supraharmonics and resonances within one module
- Very low losses thanks to the use of efficient silicon carbide semiconductor technology
- Broadband grid filtering effect by combining a grid filter and damping resistor in one system
- Hardly any current losses thanks to local "energy recycling"
- Patented system

MIKA - Medium-voltage compensation system
MIKA is a compensation and filtering system for medium- and high-voltage networks. Large industrial installations, renewable energy producers, distribution networks and many other operators of medium-voltage systems face the challenge of keeping their grid connection compliant with the standards and specifications of the energy supplier. This often requires a combination of capacitive and inductive components to create an effective filtering concept.
Advantages of MIKA:
- Compensation and filtering system for medium- and high-voltage networks
- For voltage levels > 1,000 volts
- Project planning and design
- Construction and grid integration
- Control and automation programming
- Available in different versions: RCOMP in rack design, BCOMP in concrete housing, SCOMP as a high-protection system and more
- Global market leader in harmonic filters for industrial production processes
