Inxpect
Inxpect develops radar-based safety solutions for machines and industrial installations, creating reliable protection even in challenging environments where dust, smoke, moisture or changing light conditions can reduce the performance of optical systems. The technology detects the presence and movement of personnel in hazardous areas, helping to prevent unsafe situations by defining configurable warning and danger zones. This allows operators to work safely and machines to remain productive while ensuring robust protection.
Configurable warning and danger zones
Inxpect systems use advanced 3D radar detection with multiple configurable zones. Approaching a danger zone can first trigger a warning or speed reduction, while actual presence in the danger zone leads to a safe stop or a blocked state. Only when the radar system evaluates the area as clear can a safe restart be authorised by the machine controller. This approach provides a controlled step-by-step safety response instead of a simple on/off reaction, enhancing safety without unnecessary machine stoppages. Read more about radar safety
Radar based volumetric safety barrier - Inxpect
The Inxpect radar sensors are available in a range of versions with different detection ranges and fields of view, allowing the configuration of monitoring zones that match the size and shape of the area to be safeguarded. Multiple sensors can be combined in a single system, enabling complex shapes and coverage angles to be monitored reliably.
Control units and integration
Radar sensors are connected to a control unit that handles configuration, evaluation and safety logic. Using software tools, monitored zones can be visualised and set up in 3D, and the control unit drives the safety outputs while interfacing with the machine controller. By choosing from different control units and sensor types, a scalable radar-based safety system can be built to suit a wide range of industrial applications.
