RF IS FL series: new generation of wireless inductive sensors from steute
Reliable detection without cables is a challenge in many machines and installations. Nearby metal surfaces or contamination can disrupt the operation of wireless sensors. steute introduces the RF IS FL series, a new generation of wireless inductive sensors that remain reliable precisely under such conditions.
Digital autocalibration for greater flexibility
The completely redesigned inductive sensors in the RF IS FL series operate in combination with a radio module, which provides both power supply and wireless signal transmission. Thanks to digital autocalibration, the sensors automatically and dynamically adjust their switching point to the environment. This ensures reliable operation for both flush and non-flush mounting, without unwanted switching. The optimised sensor design reduces power consumption by up to 80 percent, extending service life and minimising maintenance.

Applications and design
Thanks to energy-efficient operation and flexible mounting, the RF IS FL series is suitable for a wide range of detection tasks in dynamic and contaminated industrial environments. The sensors are developed for applications where metal parts must be detected reliably, such as tool and mould making, assembly and handling technology, robotic grippers and machine tools. The series will be available in four cylindrical variants: M8, M12, M18 and M30.
