Wireless foot switch with enlarged guard for heavy-duty industrial applications
The range of wireless foot switches from steute has been expanded with a new variant, specially designed for demanding work environments such as welding stations. These applications place high demands on the robustness and safety of foot switches — requirements that this new model meets seamlessly.
Ideal for environments with welding sparks
The wireless version prevents cable damage caused by welding sparks and eliminates tripping hazards from loose cables. In addition, the pedal is equipped with an enlarged guard made of powder-coated steel. This robust guard provides ample space to operate the pedal comfortably while wearing reinforced safety shoes, as is common during welding work. It also prevents unintentional activation of the pedal.
Robust design and flexible integration
Inside the guard is an RF GFS 2 XL transmitter that communicates wirelessly via steute’s sWave technology with the receiver system. This technology is designed for industrial reliability, with short response times, low energy consumption and interference-free operation — even in environments with many wireless systems or electromagnetic interference. The wireless foot switch can also be easily integrated into existing machine control systems. Thanks to compatibility with universal steute receivers, no complex wiring or modification of existing installations is required. Learn more about foot switches.
From custom solution to standard product
The foot switch was originally developed as a custom solution for a metal processing company. The cables of the foot pedals were frequently damaged by welding sparks and had to be replaced repeatedly, which was both costly and time-consuming. Thanks to the wireless version, this issue is now a thing of the past. The solution has proven itself in practice and has therefore been included in steute’s standard product range.
