The R-SAFE series of contactless safety switches uses RFID technology to communicate with authorized actuators. This system helps prevent machines and equipment from being activated when no authorized RFID actuator is present.

Connecting 16 switches in series

A key feature of this new product is the ability to connect up to 16 RFID sensors in series, leading to an efficient and cost-effective installation as there is now no need to lay a cable from each sensor.

The R-SAFE RFID safety switch complies with the stringent safety standards SIL 3 - SILCL 3 and PL e - Cat. 4, providing a high level of safety. It is designed for use in various industries, including the food and beverage industry, packaging, pharmaceuticals, printing, paper, logistics, renewable energy, chemical industry, and injection molding.

Mosaic Safety Designer (MSD) software

This safety switch is fully mechanically compatible with other safety sensors from ReeR Safety, including the Magnus RFID and Magnus MG "S" series. Additionally, the RFID switches can be seamlessly integrated with the modular Mosaic safety PLC from ReeR. The Mosaic Safety Designer (MSD) software allows users to easily design, configure, and manage safety systems, significantly enhancing the flexibility and scalability of safety solutions.

One of the key features of the R-SAFE RFID safety switch is its resistance to tampering, in compliance with EN ISO 14119. Different coding types

Individually Coded (only Plus model): In this mode, the actuator is permanently paired with the sensor during installation through a teach-in process. This process can be repeated if necessary.
Unique Coding: With this method, the actuator is permanently assigned to the sensor during the production process, meaning it cannot be replaced by another actuator.
Actuator Coded: In this case, the actuator is not specifically assigned to a particular sensor. This means that one actuator can interact with multiple sensors that are coded in the same generic way.
