The new ReeR R-Safe Slim actuator for RFID safety switches
The same actuator, but in a slimmer format
The R-Safe series from ReeR Safety continues to expand, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. The new Slim actuator is a great example of this because of the actuators slim design making it ideal for use in confined workspaces. The Slim actuator is compatible with all RFID sensors and, like the standard actuators, is available in two versions: generic (A M G) and teach-in (A M T).
ReeR R-Safe Slim actuator combos
The Slim actuators are also available in combination with an RFID sensor. Several options are available, such as an M12 connector, a pigtail with an M12 connector, or a 1, 3, 5, or 10-meter cable. Depending on functions such as automatic restart (with or without EDM), digital OSSD input for series connection, or individual sensor status indication, the sensors are available with a 5- or 8-pin connection. Encoded safety switch
Safety is paramount, and for this reason, the RFID safety switches, in combination with the Slim actuator, are available with different types of coding. With generic coding, the actuator can also work with other sensors. With teach-in coding, it is possible to manually pair the actuator and the sensor. For maximum safety, there is also unique coding, where the sensor and actuator are paired in the factory. This process is irreversible; if the actuator needs to be replaced, the sensor must also be replaced (and vice versa). Read more about safety switches.
ECOLAB safety switches
The R-Safe sensors are ECOLAB certified. This means that they have high mechanical resistance to cleaning and disinfection procedures used worldwide in the food and beverage industry. This certificate guarantees that the IP69K certified housing provides sufficient protection against the ingress of water and steam. Intensive and repetitive cleaning cycles are therefore no problem for these switches.
