Safegate muting light curtains with finger protection and models with a range of up to 80 metres

The Safegate series of light curtains of ReeR Safety has been expanded with models with muting function for finger protection (14 mm resolution) and models with a range up to 80 metres. In addition, the MZ muting arms feature one connecting cable instead of two and the product information on all Safegate models is now lasered. Read more about muting light curtains.

Muting light curtain for finger detection (14 mm)

The range of light curtains with integrated muting function for finger detection has been extended with models with a resolution of 14 mm. As a user, you have the choice of a manual or automatic restart after an interruption. The muting light curtains for finger detection are equipped with an integrated feedback input for external device monitoring (EDM). The muting light curtains have a protected height of 310 mm to 1960 mm. The detection range can be set from 0 to 3 metres or from 1 to 6 metres.

Long range light curtain (80 m)

In addition to finger detection models, ReeR Safety has also expanded its range of long-range light curtains. The long-range light curtains with 2, 3 or 4 beams are not equipped with a muting function. As a user, you can choose a manual or automatic reset after an interruption. The long-range models have an integrated feedback input for external device monitoring (EDM), protected heights of 510 mm to 910 mm and a detection range of 6 to 40 metres or 8 to 80 metres.

New cabling for MZ arms

The connection of the M5 multibeam photocells (point-to-point models) and MTRX retro-reflective photocells (TRX models) in the muting arms have been üpdatet. Previously, the photocells were individually wired. To connect 4 photocells to the 2 muting connectors on the light curtain, the use of a Y-splitter was necessary.

The two photocells on the muting arms are now connected to each other and the muting arm itself has only one connector. This eliminates the need for Y-splitters. To further protect the muting arms, a protection plate is placed between the 2 muting sensors in the muting arm.
