Absolute single-turn encoders with up to 25-bit resolution
Some machines and devices require the highest accuracy when it comes to determining the correct position. Lika Electronic's new HS58 absolute encoder has higher resolution up to a maximum of 25 bit - 33,554,432 cpr (counts per revolution).
Extrapolating to 25 bit code
The encoder resolution is read from an encoded glass disc and extrapolated to a 25 bit code. The encoder transmits the absolute position to the controller. Read more about absolute and incremental encoders.
HS58 encoder for industrial applications
The HS58 encoder sits in a standard 58-mm flange diameter housing with both solid (Ø 6, 8, 9.52, 10, 11, 12 mm) and hollow (Ø 14, 15 mm) shafts. The HS58 encoder is designed for typical industrial applications with a protection rating of IP67 (IP65 on the shaft) and can operate in environments with temperatures between -25°C and +85°C (-13°F + 212°F).
Optical scanning technology
The HS58 absolute optical encoder provides absolute information via SSI or BiSS C-mode interfaces. An additional incremental trace (2,048 1Vpp Sine-Cosine signals per revolution) further enables precise speed control in feedback applications. Connection is via M12/M23 connectors or cable (length to be specified).
The HS58 encoder series is ideal for installation in a wide range of applications in standard industrial environments. These include gear and servo motors, automated monitoring systems and tracking and pointing systems (e.g. radar and military applications).
