M8x1 I/O junction box with active logic function for transfer of data

M8x1 I/O-junctionbox with active logic function - ESCHA

The M8x1 I/O junction box with active logic function from ESCHA is placed decentrally around sensors and switches. The I/O junction box with active logic function sends the signals to a central control unit. The individual connections are connected by means of different fixed combinations that work with the AND and OR logic.

Multi-pole cables

To facilitate a safe and reliable connection between conventional passive I/O junction boxes and control units, multi-pole cables are required. In the case of fieldbus I/O junctions, even shielded cables are required. I/O junctions with active logic function offer the advantage of a standard cable to a common, unshielded 4 or 5-pin sensor cable that can be installed much more flexibly than a similar rigid shielded cable. Wiring costs and wiring time are reduced and wiring errors are prevented.

Compact housing for applications with limited space

Because of their extremely compact housing and their low weight, the new ESCHA M8x1 I/O junctions with active logic function have been specially adapted for applications with limited space such as grippers, robots or compact handling units. The I/O boxes can be installed in different installation situations via different mounting holes. Each connection to the I/O junction box is provided with an identification label so that the connection is clearer.

Predefined logic

The M8x1 I/O junction box with active logic function is available with 4, 8 or 10 connection connectors with different fixed combinations of AND and OR logic. The junction boxes do not have to be programmed by the user because of a predefined logic and are therefore immediately operational. A status display per channel and a LED display for the logical output provide a quick overview of the most important functions. All junctions meet the IP65 and IP67 requirements.
