In the beverage, food, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, safety, hygiene and prevention play an important role. Switches, sensors, and cabling used in these industries must meet strict requirements and criteria.

RSSG-SS RFID safety switch

The RSSG-SS RFID safety switches from Mechan Controls are housed in a polished stainless steel 316 housing and are therefore resistant to CIP and SIP cleaning. They are therefore suitable for use in the beverage, food, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Advantageous polished stainless steel 316 housing

The advantage of using stainless steel (stainless steel 316) housings instead of plastic is that this eliminates the risk that damaged or broken parts end up in the food chain.

The RSSG-SS is designed with the highest possible encryption level with 4 billion unique codes according to EN 14119. They offer protection against manipulation, interference and tampering, making them an excellent choice for use in high security applications. The combination of these features makes this switch unique in the market.

Switching distance of 10 mm

There is a small window in the center of the switch and actuator so that the RFID switch has a switching distance of 10 mm with a tolerance of 5 mm. The window is completely closed and resistant to aggressive chemical cleaning agents.

LED indication

Installation is easy with the flexible mounting holes and a multi-color LED for the status of the switch.

Re-pairing of the RFID safety switch

If a part of the RSSG-SS switch is lost or damaged, a new re-pairing can easily be done: Lowering the voltage to 17V DC, bringing the new part within range of the switch and then increasing the voltage back to 24V DC.
